Here we are with 4 Trends for Spring/Summer 2017 by Nelly Rodi embracing fashion and lifestyle. Trend no. 1, 2 and 3 are easily seen in interiors as well, and I am curious to see how no.4 will be adapted or influence the furniture and decoration field. I am really looking forward to it since all kind of geographic references, exploring and getting lost in nature are really spot on for the next couple years. Let’s see now their four proposals:
1// TERRA NOVA
Urban consumer apply their galaxy aesthetics to build the future with a allure which we could call the Space Samurai look. The color palette is cool with like constellation of pale cosmos shades and a few splashes of bright color. High tech materials look either organic or futuristic.
2// PSYCHO TROPICS
This story is set in an urban jungle. This green fever is manifested by or an ultra graphic sporty and ultra captivating chic with vivid colors and blacks. It looks like a strange exuberant line allowing a fancy trip intro tropical lands of extra large floral patterns.
3// PLAY DATE
We see through pastel colored glasses, the mood is sporty and playful with an overall tone feeling lightness. We are back in childhood and it feels really nice. Leisure wear is fun and suitable as well for work. There is kiddy pastel on hone hand and strong figurative prints on the other while throwing in a few references of digital culture.
4// LANDS OF SAVANNA
We are taken on a multicultural safari based on urban beats of England, America, Africa and Asia for this theme. Travel and lifestyle convert into a cosmopolitan every day elegance. The savvy will opt for the simplicity of classic in a really chic aristocratic way of living. Think weaved and plaided natural fabrics all with Savanna influences.
The last trend was interesting to me, the safari topic keeps coming back every now and then since the eighties (or probably already earlier?), and I feel it quite interlinked with anything relating to the green trend. There is this desert feeling though that makes it standing by itself.
