Hello dear readers on eclectic trends blog, it’s Mette from monsterscircus – I’m so glad to be back on Gudy’s truly inspiring blog. How are we all? I hope you’re ready for a simply, quick and stylish project, sounds good huh?
Storage solutions are something we all can use and I’ve made a project you can use in so many ways so let’s get started.
You’ll need following:
Long leather straps
Curtain rings
A saw
Cloth hangers wood or steel
Furthermore you’ll need textile glue
Use your saw to part the hook hanger off the hanger.
Place your hanger on the leather strap and apply glue on the curtain ring and leather end as pictured.
Take the other end and make an overlay, fasten with glue.
Now work your way down to the bottom of the strap, apply a nice even lay of glue.
Done! As I said it’s a super fast project and I actually made my three hangers in just 30 min.
It’s a fun way to storage your dish towels in the kitchen or you could hang the morning newspaper while you’re getting ready for work.
To use them in the bathroom as a towel rack could be an option too.
If you don’t need another cloth hanger in your hallway they could be fantastic as a displays for wonderful illustrations. If you have kids, you could use wide fabric ribbon, supply your children with textile markers, and let them customize their own cloth hanger – or they could just pin their artsy drawings on them.
Make the coat hangers as a gift. Consider the time effort I think I’m going to make heaps of these for hostess gifts and Holiday presents – And a last tip if you don’t have leather you make a sacrifice and use your old belt, then you’ll skip the gluing part. Now I would love to hear if this is a project you would like to try? Thank you so much for having me Gudy and thank you all for reading. Hope you’ll make a tremendously good day.

Hi Caroline,
Thank you so much! Yes they are great as display for favorite pictures. I’m a big fan of leather it’s such a wonderful material. Thank you so much for your comment and have a lovely evening:-)
Beautiful as always, Mette! I guess I have to get a saw, though…
Hi Lena.
Aww thank you Lena. Oh yes you’ll need that for the hook hangers on the wooden cloth hangers. But if you use the steel hangers, a pincer could do the job.. If you don’t have that one either you have a good excuse for a trip to the hardware store, you can find some really cool things there;-) Enjoy your weekend:-)
Hola Gudy!
Bienvenida!
