Meanwhile we are discussing today color palettes at our Trend Think Tank in Barcelona, we’d like to share a project that perfectly embodies the spirit of one of the three trends we presented at imm Cologne last week: Maximum.
Stanze segrete, literally secret rooms, tells a visual story about sophisticated, seductive spaces where bold colored surfaces are combined with statement design items and pieces of art. There is no place for modesty: the space Elena Mora invites us in, seduces us with its glamour and personality. It is almost like a tale where objects are transformed into subjects of a narrative permeated by a surreal flavour.
Also, you may see a clear evidence of the trend we have mentioned several times via Instagram and that is coming very strong in 2018: everything here says circle. The trend is traceable from the biggest element to the smallest detail: it is the case of the curvilinear set scenography or the semi-circular head-board of the bed – designed by Enzo Mari for Flou; as well as the suspended chandelier and the fringed layered curtain by Matilde Cassani.
Elena Mora is an Italian freelance interior stylist and set designer currently living in Hamburg. She has a multi-cultural background thanks to her studies at Politecnico di Milano and Lapland University in Finland. Alongside Giovanni Marchi, she is the co-founder of Tinaa (This is not an agency) – a creative studio based in Milan and dedicated to editorial design, art direction, video installation and set design.
