We have seen a few Color Trends for 2018 already coming from Australia and Norway. Today we’d love to share 3 Color Trends 2018 by Alcro, a Swedish paint company you should have on you radar system. In the new color collection of ad.18, Alcro presents 15 colors in three distinct trends, Lemon Crisp, Dark Wood and Desert Sunset. For anyone looking for a new color direction, these three themes should give you plenty of inspiration.

Based on solid research in a wide variety of fields, from fashion and interior design to food and crafts, Alcro‘s color experts have identified three trends that can embellish your homes in the next few years. Each trend in ad.18 is represented by five different Alcro colors, carefully selected to harmonize on walls, ceilings, carpentry and furniture, says Ylva Boon Widegren PR- and Head of communications at Alcro.

Colors will be blended in new ways and take place in new areas, there is no single room or corner now in the interior design world where color would not find a place to be underline an intention.

We are in a period where we will use color quite creatively. I think there will be new combinations of colors, but above all we will use far more color on other surfaces than walls such as on ceilings, carpentry, moldings and doors. This is the presence, and will grow in the future.

Let’s see now the 3 Color Trends 2018 by Alcro and its translation:

1// LEMON CRISP

Lemon Crisp collects inspiration from citrus fruits and spicy vegetables along with neutral, creamy color tones. A warm and crisp trend that appeals to anyone who wants to add a little more color to his home.

This color collection is a brave and more creative variation of the white and light gray shades we have seen in recent years. It is warm and crispy at the same time and fits extra well into a modern interior style. Consider material crashes between technical and natural materials; plexiglass together with fuzzy wool, plastic and painted color areas together with light wood and ceramics.

2// DARK WOOD

Dark, elegant and bohemian color world Dark Wood is both sober and playful and marks the home as a nice and intimate castle. The colors are inspired by Renaissance paintings, British dandy and Italian 70’s.

Dark Wood is an elegant collection of bohemian elements. The colors are inspired by Renaissance paintings, British dandy and Italian 70’s with bold graphic designs. The result will be both stylish and playful – not least in rooms with high ceilings. Materials such as corduroy, stone and velvet represent Dark Wood, and the dark colors that come in tone appear when matte surfaces are blended with shiny. Dare to break patterns in the interior: mix antique items with playful new design

3// DESERT SUNSET

Desert Sunset consists of warm harmonious colors inspired by sandy sunsets. Think of the evening light of the Mojave Desert with all its color changes in red and brown-burned shades.

A welcoming collection in an exclusively warm color scale. Harmonic colors inspired by sandy sunsets. Imagine the evening light in the Mojave Desert with all its color changes. Desert Sunset is modern and friendly with daring poppy elements. The collection makes your room cozy and friendly, especially beautiful in rooms with flowing natural light where you can find peace and relaxation. Decorated with materials like leather, copper and marble, but also smoother textiles and green plants. Recycling in all its forms is correct in this trend.
