There are way too many design shows in a year, of course we can’t visit them all. 3 days of design in Copenhagen, Denmark started out as a ‚small event held by a handful of companies from Pakhus 48, has today grown into a well-known design event. 3daysofdesign, which is annual, draws journalists, buyers and design enthusiasts from around the world to Copenhagen, to experience a new and refreshing look on design presented in a unique collaboration between top design companies and designers.‘

So let us take you on a virtual tour to Copenhagen today, as we will concentrate on one exhibition in particular – HJEM by Pernille Egeskov. The visual language is so strong and you will soon see why we have chosen to take you on a tour through HJEM.

HJEM which can be translated into HOME, is an installation, where Pernille Egeskov interprets three iconic Danish design companies: Fritz Hansen, Dinesen  and Georg Jensen Damask.

The showroom apartment was divided into 6 rooms and in these rooms Pernille Egeskov interpreted the companies legacies of quality and craftsmanship.

‘Deconstructed designs tend to look a little out of space and rough at times, but not this one: the result was a poetic installation with stunning textiles and bright woods about spaces, living rituals and family relationships. In these 6 spaces ‚ within a home setting, Egeskov contrasted lasting products with fragility and transience.‘

We love to observe the fine line between interior design and art and craft, all seamless blended in one work. The next annual event of  3 days of design takes place on June, 01-03, 2017 in case you want to bookmark already now a little getaway to Copenhagen. G, x
