It is a tad classy but I truly l o v e the kitchen! And the bedroom seems to have wonderful energy too. Actually if you want to get a little house tour, check the video published on NYTimes to get the full scoop. He says he is very French, and very Parisian, and his signature style lies in incorporating a quintessentially French style into otherwise minimalist interiors.

The kitchen is in my Top3 list for urban environments with these large slabs of heavily veined marble. The contrast with the warm herringbone flooring and wood cabinets is very chic and invites to spend time in that little nook at the window. I like it when he says that his home was not thought as a showroom, to have clients over or to appear in magazines but he feels   “it’s just my home.” G, x

  1. Joseph Dirand is probably one of my favorite current architects. He gets it all right: color, proportions, shapes, and materials, achieving interiors that are beautifully restrained yet don’t lack warmth. That’s a fine line that not many are able to walk so effortlessly.
