I have a crush on image#4 but since publishing one single image would not have been a very interesting story, I researched a bit and found this collector’s apartment..guess where?
Do you ever do that? You see an image and you try to figure in what part of the world that would be the home to someone?
“Style makes the difference”, or that´s at least what the co-owner Emmanuel de Bayser of the very cool boutique The Corner Berlin says. Looking for the perfect place to escape from daily stress, he found this cool apartment and temple for his mid century pieces. I am a Jean Prouvé fan and would love to have a certain piece (not the entire collection though!).
Born in France, he settled 8 years ago in Germany and moved a year ago to this apartment situated at my favorite square in Berlin which is the Gendarmenmarkt. Nothing but amazing: five meter high ceilings in a building from the late nineteenth. He just painted it, dyed the parquet, added a library and the fireplace in the living room.
And a few collector’s treasures… See more images on AD Spain. G, x

Gorgeous. Can you tell me if the fireplace surround is pre-cast and if so where to find it?
We are afraid we don’t have that information, but maybe you want to contact the owner of the apartment and ask? The contact info we have is in the post. Best of luck!
