The colder season brings darker colors and pine green is always one of them. I have officially started pinning for Christmas now, and this interesting interior styling session for vtwonen‘s November issue just came in handy to get into the mood.
What other colors would you blend pine green with?

Different shades of green mixed with blues such as petrol , jade and aquamarine give a nice and even colder contrast, all softened with some ivory and a pinch of metallics to leverage the sophisticated look, and even give it a certain nostalgic look (pic n#5).
From a styling and photography perspective, this is pretty spectacular. I guess the rather cool color combo all together is a bit overwhelming for my personal taste. I prefer the images where they have worked with ivory and stone shades. I believe it’s less heavy, actually the sofa image is my favorite and made me research when stumbling upon it for the entire series..
Anyhow, Jeroen and Cleo just did a fantastic job here. Only seeing the many references they used on the vtwonen site, makes me think of weeks of preparation! Only when you have done complete styling sessions or catalogs, you know the work behind it. I remember a few massages I needed to get after days of shooting back in the ‘old good times’ when I was literally living several month a year in a photo studio:) Not sure I would do that volume again but it was fun and super creative for sure! Wow this is really great work but I’m too for making the story more soft and thus I would blend it with golden, beige, mint green, light grey or pastel peach for example.
