It’s so well done, you can’t quite see the difference between what is real and what is virtual. One of our favorite design studios Estudio Persona has teamed up with Mary Little to show you a virtual exhibit of heavyweight canvas art.
Since the initially planned physical exhibition couldn’t take place inside Estudio Persona’s showroom, Reflections was born as a 3D landscape, with visualizations looking so real, you’re under the impression you don’t need to touch the heavyweight canvas sculptures to feel its tactility.
Born in Northern Ireland, Mary Little moved to Belfast at age ten to live a time that she describes as unsettling and maintains today a small live-in studio in Los Angeles. Her work explores the interaction between light, surface, and gravity remembering a childhood among lush farmlands of Ireland and its wild coastlines.
Her work is on sale and 20 percent will go to the foundation ‘I have a dream’ for youth in under-served communities in Los Angeles. “Imagine being able to contribute towards giving young individuals hope that they can be self-reliant and can create a future in their own vision,” says Little.
