A Zen Mountain Retreat in Morocco

Sitting at the peak of a hill in the Moroccan mountain ranges, this private mountain retreat called Villa E built by French designer Studio KO invites to unobstructed views and a contemplative stay with a rather minimal interior design.  Artisan objects such as handmade ceramics, vintage rugs and stone sculptures fit perfectly into the modern structures and gives it warmth and a sense of belonging to the local environment.

With studio bases in both Paris and Morocco, Studio KO represents in this project the convergence of ideas from both design cultures: a rather contemporary minimalism of Paris with the earthy textures of the Moroccan aesthetic.

To me its this kind of place where I could totally relax, you’ll understand why when you see the complete gallery of images, though I have never tried such an arid terrain to spend time. I am more into lush nature ut it’s all about trying out one day, isn’t it? And I have not been to Morocco so far, a classic example of having a destiny pretty close doesn’t mean you have seen it already:)

Have a very relaxing weekend yourself! G, x

How about some extra inspiration?
