I visited on Saturday JOYA Contemporary Jewellery Fair which is the main international event in Spain presenting art jewellery from around the world. I am really happy I went, there was so much inspiration!
Submerged cities – Hidden Memories by Akis Goumas
Everyday matter by Elin Flognman
Elena Gil
Federica Sala
295 renowned artists of more than 40 countries were present through the individual participations, international galleries, collectives and renown schools. And if you ever doubted that jewelry is art, just have a look at all these stunning pieces.
To my surprise, I met Luca Tripali who was my paper clay teacher some years ago when attending a course in Tuscany. He was exhibiting his work too. I have always been interested in jewellery and goldsmith work. He offers a jewellery course next summer in Turin which looks fantastic and goes straight away on my wish list. Combining jewelry and porcelain would be a dream combination.
Wishing you a wonderful week start! G, xx
