Ceramics pick of the month: Turi Heisselberg

Eclectic Trends| Ceramicist of the month: Turi Heisselberg

We found the last image of this post and immediately thought of 3D print. To our surprise, Danish ceramicist Turi Heisselberg builds her pieces all by hand and we are happy share her work between object and artwork in our Ceramicist of the month series.

She has been working on different series and shapes as you can observe below but always maintaining a clear signature style grouped in two characteristics:

1// the organic forms, even when they come faceted, recognisable albeit transformed, they invite you to associate with shapes found from the natural world
2// the tonal play of color making them a seductive grouping and looking timeless yet very trendy

In the interplay between culture and nature, my recent work is inspired by geological structures and crystal formations, but also by architecture, the edged rendering of a computer drawing or folded paper shapes.
