I am back with my new column Ceramics of the month and  would love to introduce you today to Pippin Drysdale. I have found her on Pinterest and since this is my most repinned image on my ceramics board, and obviously you loved it as much as I did, I thought I’d share some more of her work today.

Based in Australia, Pippin Drysdale’s career as a ceramic artist started 30 years ago. Her passion for the craft merges with a love of the landscape, which has travelled across continents and in most recent years has focussed on the vivid dessert landscapes of Australia. Her works evoke a timeless and breathtaking sense of space and place within finely crafted porcelain vessels, describing the color experienced in the unique Australian landscape.

These are the color combinations I liked best, they seem to be a bit older; she works with a lot of red and yellow now. I have no idea the technique she is using but they are all master pieces being sold through different galleries in Australia, USA and Europe.

You can see the former ceramicist of July, here (btw, another winner on the ceramics board:-)
