I’ve been thinking a lot lately about using deep purple. Color Inspiration No.13 is a first step for a mood board I want to set up for my bedroom. I am visiting today the Heimtextil in Frankfurt (watch my IG stories) and are really curious if purple is a thing.

I still remember sitting on an European trend panel a couple of years ago when one of the presenters said, ‘dark purple will come back in all its luxury versions’, and she was so right!
Shadow being a deep purple was introduced by the US based paint company Benjamin Moore as its choice of color for 2017. It’s the complete opposite of last year’s pick from the color experts, Simply White.
Shadow is a deep, dark, saturated yet muted purple. It’s a rich and dramatic shade that will work well with many contrast colors. Decorating possibilities are abundant when using Shadow in a room design. This paint color is a game changer for setting the mood and I am already thinking of painting my bedroom which being all white now is asking for a major change.
Shadow, Your Majesty, Eggplant, Pine Green and Corn are the shades of Color Inspiration No.13.

I painted my bedroom in deep purple fifteen years ago and never regretted it. Go for it! The shade I used turns lighter during the day and at night it’s relaxing and soothing. A plus is it goes well with many different colours.
Ah, good to know, thanks for the comment :)
