Color is still an essential influence on purchase decisions, and a title such as Color of the Year 2026 always seems to draw more attention to it. We love seeing a date behind a color!
WGSN and Coloro combine their powers to forecast the Colour of the Year every year. Digital Lavender took the title for 2023; Apricot Crush reigns supreme for 2024, and Future Dusk will come out on top for 2025. These hues are predicted to be seen on the catwalks, beauty, interiors, and packaging.
Next up is Transformative Teal, bringing a sense of freshness, calm, and restoration.
Transformative Teal is a fluid fusion of blue and aquatic green that reflects nature’s diversity and taps into an Earth-first mindset. It represents change and redirection and can help encourage resilience in the face of complex climate challenges.
In recent months, we have also seen growing interest in green and blue in purchase-related searches. On Google Trends, searches for Teal increased by 9% year over year.

Teal was prominent in the 90s; who doesn’t remember the peacock combinations of Teal and curry? Teal is all seasonal, though attributed often to Autumn; however, given it’s acqua quality, it works well in Summer, too. For all CMF experts, this will look amazing on anodized metal.
