Earth Matters – an exhibition curated by Li Edelkoort & Phillip Fimmano

I wish I was in Stockholm and could go and visit this great exhibition at Artipelag curated by two of the most important forecasters of these times. Li Edelkoort and Phillip Fimmano warn of environmental pollution and over-consumption but offer hope for sustainable solutions through ‘Earth Matters‘.

What makes it so attractive is the exciting mix of art, craft, design, fashion and photography all gathered to cover a topic that touches the entire population on planet earth. With more than 80 works it’s not about exhibiting individual works but portraying that art and its applications can play an important role in our society.

Bamboo and biodegradable plastics, wind-drive structures, furniture made of clay, or Claudy Jongstra‘s felt work (which is worth a post by itself) are all together the type of exhibit I’d love to see. There must be a lot inspiration and material to think about. Wishing you a great last February week! G, x

How about some extra inspiration?
