Resin or fiberglass have been often the preferred material by designers in recent times. The Fold series made out of fiberglass by Olivier Grégoire, a French designer who lives and works in the US, was originally created for the brand Acne Studios as a limited edition and requested to furnish its stores in New York, London, Copenhagen, and Stockholm. The set of seats (Chair, Stool, and Bench) are suitable for indoor and outdoor spaces, thanks to a minimal design, neutral color scheme – it comes in raw, white, or black, and durable material.
The creative and artistic possibilities of resin and other materials than can be casted and moulded, lead to new physical forms. And even of the process creates bubbles and impurities, these are often seen as forms of embellishment.
