Introducing Mogu and their clever use of up-cycled textiles residues and mycelium to create interior design acoustic and floor solutions for our homes, bringing us all closer to nature.

Mogu was founded on the belief that it is possible to employ Nature’s intelligence to radically disrupt the design of everyday products, seeking a finer balance between the man-made and the rhythms of the natural ecosystem.

Over the years, Mogu explored the potential of mycelium-based technologies in diverse application sectors. Through selected protocols, they developed a range of materials with different performances, from soft and foam-like to strong and high-density.

Inspired by the materials’ aesthetic potential, Mogu offers today the first commercial mycelium-based products on the market, suitable for interior design applications.

“Our intent is to bring Nature closer to people, meeting the needs of everyday life, both functionally and aesthetically”

Circular Process

Today, our relationship with the ecosystem is more than ever compromised, due to human activity and particularly to the irresponsible manufacturing processes we constantly run. At Mogu, the team thrive to employ only residues as raw input materials, setting a new value for unexploited resources through the skilful action of fungal mycelium.

A mind for innovation

Mogu carries on complex and iterative R&D projects, allowing to keep on exploring radically innovative solutions based on mycelium and beyond. Mogu thrives to establish meaningful connections with other industries, through research funding or by engaging in co-development projects.

Acoustics

Mogu Acoustic collection marks an unprecedented revolution for interior design comfort. Mogu Acoustic modules are made from soft, foam-like mycelium materials and up-cycled textile residues. Thanks to the unique technology, Mogu Acoustic panels represent today the most sustainable solution dedicated to acoustic comfort. They are characterised by a unique velvety finishing and a 3D shape, to maximise sound absorption. Mogu Acoustic modular panels are provided with their own easy-to-mount and screw-less fixing system.

Flooring Flex and Tiles

From agro-industrial residues to luxury living environments, Mogu Floor Tiles are a collection of bio-based resilient tiles for interior design and architecture. A perfect solution to support a fully circular approach within the building industry. Floor products are designed to support the needs of everyday life. Thanks to the 87% biobased resin constituting the top aesthetic layer, Mogu Floor products are able to resist heels, scratches, and abrasions just like any conventional floor.

Despite their look resembling stone and their structural toughness, Mogu Floor products feature a warm and soft touch – providing an excellent and sustainable choice to walk on.

The tiles are available with a fibered or non-fibered appearance, depending on the design requirements of the specific project.

We encourage you to get in touch with the unique technical and sensorial properties of Mogu’s mycelium-based products. Ranging from foam-like, soft textures to compact, resilient surfaces to emotional colors, Mogu will surprise you with the incredible opportunities that arise when employing mycelium to transform residues and create new value, resulting in innovative, technically feasible, conscious, and honest solutions.
