Imm Cologne 2013: The Color Trends

Imm Cologne 2013: The Color Trends

January 17, 2013

I am still kind of visiting the show, there is still a lot of buzz in Twitter and Instagram even I have left Cologne already a couple of days ago. So much information to digest! Today I will write about the colour trends I have spotted at Imm  2013. There are not too many surprises and the colours are almost going hand in hand with the fashion industry. I like them a lot, they are just made for me!

¡Me encanta!

Purple has been on spot now already for a couple of years and mint is getting stronger and stronger. I am really happy with that evolution as you might have noticed that this is my all time favorite color!

There is some room for interpretation here when it comes to give those colors a name ranging from pale pink, to powder pink, coral or cherry blossom. I hope you all understand what I mean just having a  look at the pictures.

When yellow came out almost 5 years ago already at the Salone del Mobile in Milan everyone was thinking they had gone a bit too bold. Than brands such as Habitat would start following up the trend launching some accessories which would last until sales. It took us at least a couple of years to accept yellow as a every day color. Today yellow or the warmer saffron is the new black in winter and the new white in summer. Just THE color to go with. Petrol has somehow always been there, it comes and goes and is very sophisticated. You can see it many times together with mint which is a lovely combination.

So, which is your favorite color combo?
