Modern eclectic style in Manhattan

It’s no secret that I love a good eclectic style in the interior design world but not necessarily mixed with vintage pieces. These images are a good example of how to stick to a more contemporary look and still being eclectic with materials such as aged brass, etched glass and tarnished leather.

Eclectic Trends- Studio Apparatus -2

Studio Apparatus based in Manhattan showcases lighting and objects among furnishing and art pieces. I have loved here the rattan sofa and those metal armchairs opposite. What a cool combination that is! And I love the fact each individual fixture here is assembled by hand in their studio aiming for the ‘perfect imperfect’ with the finishing touches on the materials. Black&White plus brass is anyhow one of the trendiest color combos of this season and will be used as a color scheme during Christmas too. Do you like it? G, xx

How about some extra inspiration?

  1. Hi Louise, it’s exact that sofa that makes to so interesting and different to me :-) It’s been a bit difficult lately to find projects that talk about personal taste no matter if it fits or not… the net is just very ‘combed through’ I feel.
Have a perfect week ending! x’

  2. I love all the images in this post Gudy, especially that black wall with the fitted shelving. The gold sides really pop out against it. Thanks for sharing. xD
