I have some very exciting news to share with you! Since I had received requests in Copenhagen to offer a moodboarding class abroad and in London (thank you Emma for coming up and asking!), here you go! And I have a wonderful sparing partner since Emily Quinton will share all her magic and photography knowledge and we will work with you to create your very own visual signature.

Workshop Collage 600

Would you like to learn which photography style creates the image you’d like to convey for your brand?

Are you interested in finding your very own signature and build a well structured brand on it through the creative technique
of moodboarding?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, then this workshop is for you! Learn how to distinguish the main trendy photography styles, visualize your own image through a moodboarding exercise and find your visual signature.

This 2 days workshop will teach you:

1) how to identify three of the current major photographic styles and their characteristics;

2) everything you need to know about working with natural light, composition, shooting and editing with your camera phone, and shooting in Aperture Priority on your dSLR, to enable you to create the signature style you want.

3) how you can visualize your own style using a tactile mood board that allows you to combine different elements in the way you want to be perceived  as a brand or blog

4) 10 creative ways of designing a tactile mood board and impress your readers and clients

The program consists of:

A joint lesson with Gudy Herder and Emily Quinton where they identify three of the current photographic trends and how you can create them for your brand.

Lessons with Emily Quinton where she teaches about the importance of natural light and how to use it well.

Composition and style. How to use your camera phone to its best ability and how to shoot in Aperture Priority mode on your dSLR. She will combine theoretical and practical sessions, to enable you to put into practice what you are learning about and to experiment with different styles, so you can begin to develop your own signature.

Lessons with Gudy Herder where she teaches how to start to structure a mood board, the way and techniques of building it up until you have found your very own individual style that defines and distinguishes you.

Combining photography and mood boarding will enable you to really explore your creativity, build on your brand, begin to identify your style and create beautiful photographs and a mood board to represent your signature.

What should I bring?

For Emily’s class: We recommend that each participant brings his or her camera phone and dSLR. Remember it have batteries fully charged, empty memory cards and don’t forget your phone charger. You are welcome to bring your own props to photograph if you want to but we will have a lovely range for you to photograph too.

For Gudy’s class: We recommend that each participant brings his or her own materials, including magazines, photos and images (ideally 10 to 15 motifs), fabric and material samples and color palettes for the creation of the mood board. It would be very helpful for participants to think of some general ideas before attending the workshop being it working on a personal topic or related to building on your style and image. Additional supplies and magazines will be provided for further inspiration.
