Photography from Georgia and GIVEAWAY | Mariam Sitchinava

Mariam Sitchinava photography White autumn series_2

I have discovered Mariam Sitchinava’s work on The Weekender (a German magazine which I highly recommend) where she was responsable for the cover. The photo story inside is equally beautiful and the work on her web site even more.

Mariam lives in Tbilisi, capital of Georgia and shoots analog portrait and fashion photography. She has started shooting, without any formal education, in 2009. After 8 months of shooting she got her first commercial project. Who wonders? Her images are depicting feelings and emotions featuring young women surrounded most of the time by nature. If I had to develop a textile collection, I would work with her color palettes.

I have approached her asking if I could publish her images and asking at the time if she sells her art. I had seen some work on her shop and blog but was particularly interested in the first photograph you see above belonging to the series White Autumn. And I can call myself now the proud owner of her work:-)

Together with the first larger photography, she has sent several prints I’d like to give away (thank you so much, Mariam!) to two readers!

  2. I know that I can’t be in the giveaway (sniff, sniff) but just wanted to say that they are just so beautiful and I admired the 2nd image that you had on your wall for “My Space” feature. What a talent and commercial work after 8 months – wow! xx

  3. Her pictures are beautiful, so quiet and inspiring. I definitely love the first picture beside the water (I know it is not in the giveaway though!).
I truly like the picture of the lady at the piano (let’s go for set A :-) … it reminds me my youth years as a piano player (I would find it hard to consider myself a pianist ;-)
You know already I have a crush for your bloggers’ collection series and I love the way you introduce new trends and the way you guide all of us through your crushes and discoveries :-) Have a lovely day Gudy xx

  4. I really liked all the photos, because all the pictures are edited very well. The photo which I liked the most comparatively is the one with the piano.
