Travel Treasures: L.UN.A. Lab-Store in Bologna

Ok, I am not in Italy now but in Cologne, Germany at the IMM furniture trade show when you are reading this post where I have been invited for the conference “We are social” hosted by Holly Becker and interviewing several most influential bloggers.

But…today is Monday and I try to post most of the time an article about my travels and what I have found along the way of my many trips. Tomorrow it will be all about the show here in Cologne, the meet up and following lunch.

So, L.UN.A stands for Libera Universita’ Delle Arti and where design, fashion design, communication and marketing are taken with exceptional care. I have stumbled upon this shop in Bologna, Italy during my deco tour in Italy last December. They exhibit work from their students and different disciplines. I find that a very interesting concept. It can link students on a very early stage directly to commercial sales or possible upcoming collaborations with already established brands. Very supportive and it is great for the end consumer to be able to see fresh ideas on new and sometimes even innovative materials. The “green concept” belongs to their creative mission statement since everything is produced eco friendly.

Vale, no estoy en Italia ahora mismo sino seguramente cuando estéis leyendo esto en Colonia, Alemania en la feria del mueble IMM invitada por Holly Becker a la conferencia de “We are social”. Ella entrevista a algunos de los blogueros más influyentes en estos momentos. Mañana os pongo al día de la feria, la conferencia y la comida posterior.

Pero…hoy es lunes y siempre que pueda, toca un post sobre mis últimos descubrimientos cuando viajo. Y ya lo sabéis, viajo un montón:)

Así que hablemos de L.UN.A. Las siglas significan Libera Universita’ Delle Arti donde el diseño, la moda, la comunicación y el marketing son tratados con mucho mimo. Me he topado con la tienda en Bolonia por casualidad durante mi tour de decoración en diciembre por Italia. Exponen en este espacio trabajos de sus estudiantes y tocan varias disciplinas. Me ha parecido un concepto muy interesante, la verdad porque de esta manera, los estudiantes pueden estar en contacto desde sus inicios con el mundo de la venta e incluso entrar en colaboraciones con empresas y marcas ya establecidas. Un buen apoyo, y desde luego, para el consumidor final es también muy interesante poder estar en contacto con ideas frescas e incluso a veces materiales innovadores. El “concepto verde” forma parte de su declaración de objetivos puesto que todo está producido de forma ecológica.
