For her Landscape Within project, Polish designer Wiktoria Szawiel set out to encapsulate the moods and materials of eastern European landscapes she grew up with in a rather innovative yet poetic way.
The following is probably my favorite image here. Can’t help but it looks like a sample board and reminds me of candy at the same time.
I am currently working on a trend I am naming BIOMIMICS and stumbled upon her work. It totally fits into the topic. We have been seeing resin and acrylic furniture for a while; who hasn’t admired Bleu Nature at the Maison&Objet during the past years?
What I like here very much are the pattens of woven natural fibers emerging from the milky finishing, it gives it a look&feel of Nature meets Lab and makes it softer without taking away a light futuristic feel.

Happy New Year Gudy!I Wow, love the ‘candy’ pots and of course for me, it’s always good follow polish designers and their success ;) Has my little Xmassy something reached you? Hugs xo
This is such an amazing and appealing theme for furniture. These furniture designs are truly one of a kind because nothing of their sort has ever been created. These designs should be brought in the consumer market soon because they will surely sell like crazy.
