Studio Mixtura founded by Daria Biryukova is on a mission to transform waste and recycled materials into practical, beautiful solutions for everyday life. Daria’s work is prominently ceramic-based, with a focus on creating sustainable glazes. Her glazes have been exhibited at several design expos, including Dutch Design Week, the Tallinn Design Festival, and Il Salone Del Mobile Milan.
Each project begins with deep research, and Daria believes thoroughly in the power of collaboration, reaching out to various industries and experts to create innovative, eco-friendly solutions.
Studio Mixtura not only designs sustainably but also helps industries and organizations improve their production and waste management methods.
In order to transform our current economy from a linear one to a circular economy, it is essential to show that waste can and will be the resource of the future, both technically and aesthetically.
STUDIO MIXTURA
Studio Mixtura teamed up with StoneCycling to create the Shine Series, a range of beautiful building bricks made entirely from waste for facades or interior walls (we love the wasabi shade).
Together the creative studios are further researching and developing sustainable glazing solutions using previously underutilized metallurgical by-products from ABO Global. (ABO Global connects suppliers and customers to turn waste into raw materials, creating a circular business network).
The powerful team of experts worked together and used metallurgical by-products that usually have very limited reuse. Did you know that millions of tons of this material are discarded every year worldwide?
This powerful partnership offers a greener alternative to the environmentally harmful quarrying industry by repurposing unused materials and leftovers from local ceramic manufacturing.
